Anne-Marie L. Monahan has worked in an Of-Counsel and Associate capacity since joining the firm in August of 2017. She graduated cum laude from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Upon graduation, she joined the audit department of a large international accounting firm where she worked on small to medium sized clients in diverse areas, including not-for-profit, real estate and the entertainment industries. She received her Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s School of Law. Her law experience has been concentrated in the fields of:
- Estate Planning – Last Will and Testament, Revocable Trusts and Irrevocable Trusts (including Life Insurance and Special Needs Trusts), Power of Attorney, Living Will, and Health Care Proxy
- Estate Litigation – representing clients in will and trust contests
- Elder Law – Provide advice regarding asset protection and Medicaid eligibility laws and appropriate documents to execute the elder law plan
- Estate Administration – All matters concerning the probate or administration of a decedent’s estate, including obtaining court appointment for executors, administrators, guardians and trustees, asset collection and distribution and preparation of estate tax returns
- Real Estate – representing sellers and purchasers of residential real estate, condominiums and co-operative apartments
